Limited Edition Print Run on Tiny Showcase

Tiny Showcase has just released a limited edition print of my painting "Drachen". I am so excited to be releasing an edition with them again!

About Tiny Showcase:

Created by Jon Buonaccorsi and Shea'la Finch in 2004, Tiny Showcase established an entirely new forum for promoting emerging and established artists, providing affordable art in a totally casual atmosphere, and supporting charitable causes.

Every Tuesday, Tiny Showcase releases a limited edition of phenomenal art at affordable prices for you and yours. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the charity of the week, which has been chosen by the featured artist. (Since 2004, we've raised over $100,000 for various organizations.)

I chose "Kindernothilfe" (German for "Supporting Children in Need") as charity for this edition. Kindernothilfe works to support vulnerable and marginalized children and youth to develop their full potentials. Find out more about this charity here

In German, the word "Drachen" can mean both "kite" and "dragons". You might remember that I painted this originally for the cover of the SCBWI magazine "Kite Tales". They asked that whatever I decide to paint include a kite. I wanted to play on the double meaning in German, and also create a happy dance of many kites, to honor the very supportive community of SCBWI by suggesting that when many people come together determined to create something together wonderful things can happen, like dancing dragons in the sky.

With this thought in mind I wish you a wonderful rest of the week!
