Illustration Friday - Monsters

I did these etchings for a show last fall. Insects do look like monsters, especially the tiny ones when you look at them under a microscope.

These are great. It's been a while since I did an etching--sort of a lost art anymore.

Wonderful etchings. I agree, insects definitely can have a "freakish monster" quality to them. Great work all around. Love Billie Holiday!

This reminds me a lot of an E. Nesbit short story where dragons of all sizes infest England. Beyond theme your piece has a similar feel about it. Thanks for sharing.

Monsters they may be, but your etchings make them look beautiful nonetheless, wonderfully observed detail.

Wow! You never cease to amaze me. I love your etching stuff. The detail is intense and overwhelming. Love it. Can't wait to see the tattoo design.
